VI Peel® is a professional chemical peel designed to improve the appearance of pigmentation, acne, uneven skin tone, texture, and signs of aging.There are several VI Peel® formulations, allowing your provider to select the option that best matches your skin concerns and goals. VI Peel® treatments are performed in-office by trained professionals.

VI Peel® uses a blend of exfoliating ingredients to remove damaged surface skin and encourage cellular renewal.As the outer layers of skin shed, fresher-looking skin is revealed underneath, helping improve tone, texture, clarity, and overall radiance.

VI Peel® offers multiple formulations designed to address different skin concerns, including aging, acne, pigmentation, and overall skin rejuvenation.Your provider will assess your skin, medical history, and goals before choosing the formula that is most appropriate for your treatment.

During your appointment, your provider will cleanse the skin and apply the peel solution in a series of layers.The application itself is generally quick. Afterward, your skin may look slightly flushed, tan, or especially glowy, but most patients can continue with their normal day immediately after leaving the office.

For facial VI Peel® treatments, peeling typically begins around day 3 and continues for several days, although every patient’s experience is different.Some people peel more than others, and visible peeling is not required for the treatment to be effective.

Most patients experience several days of peeling and flaking.The skin typically moves through the exfoliation process over approximately one week, with most peeling resolved by around day 7. Your individual experience may vary depending on your skin and the peel performed.

That does not necessarily mean the treatment did not work.The degree of visible peeling varies from person to person, and the skin can still be exfoliating and renewing even if you do not experience dramatic shedding.

No. Avoid pulling, picking, or peeling away shedding skin.Allow the skin to exfoliate naturally and follow the aftercare instructions provided by your provider. Picking or aggressively rubbing the skin can increase irritation and the risk of discoloration.

You will receive specific post-treatment instructions and aftercare products to use during the peeling process.VI Peel® recommends following the provided post-care regimen rather than returning immediately to your usual skincare products, since certain active or irritating ingredients can interfere with healing.

VI Peel® recommends avoiding makeup and other topical products for the first four hours after the peel is applied.After completing the recommended four-hour post-treatment steps, makeup may generally be applied unless your provider instructs you otherwise.

VI Peel® recommends avoiding exercise for approximately 72–96 hours after a facial peel.Heat, sweating, and inflammation during the early healing period may increase the risk of irritation or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, particularly in patients prone to pigmentation concerns.

Direct and excessive sun exposure should be avoided during the initial healing period.VI Peel® recommends avoiding significant sun exposure for the first seven days and consistently using the sunscreen provided in your aftercare regimen.

VI Peel® recommends avoiding swimming for approximately 7–10 days because pool chemicals may irritate newly exfoliated skin.It is best to wait until the peeling process is complete and your skin has recovered before swimming.

A VI Peel® may not be appropriate for everyone. The number of treatments depends on your skin concerns and goals.Some patients may see improvement after one peel, while others benefit from a series of treatments for concerns such as acne, pigmentation, or more noticeable signs of aging. Your provider can recommend an appropriate treatment schedule.

As the peeling process finishes, you may begin to notice skin that looks brighter, smoother, and more even.Results may continue to improve over time, and a series of treatments may provide more noticeable correction depending on the concern being treated.
